McLean Cosmetic Dentistry

Make Your Smile Something To Brag About

Brand New Smiles for the McLean Community

You should be confident and empowered by your smile! We offer cosmetic dentistry, an approach that focuses on both the appearance and function of your teeth.

Our cosmetic procedures include:

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin pieces of ceramic that bond to the front surface of your teeth. They are highly esthetic and help in changing the shape, color, and size of the teeth and smile. They are recommended for patients who are unhappy with the esthetics of their otherwise healthy teeth. Veneers have a longer life expectancy and color stability than bonding, and highly resist permanent staining from coffee, tea, or even cigarette smoking. In certain circumstances, we can use minimal-prep veneers, which means there is little to no preparation of your natural teeth. Also, the minimal-prep veneers may be removed if necessary or desired. The process is fast and comfortable. The result is a beautiful smile.

Full-Mouth Restoration

Full-Mouth Restoration

If you have multiple issues that need to be addressed, a full-mouth restoration might be the best choice for you. It can be any combination of:

  • Crowns, bridges, fillings, or inlays
  • Implants
  • Whitening
  • Dental bonding
  • Porcelain veneers
  • TMD treatment
  • Treatment for teeth grinding
  • Orthodontics
  • Root canals
  • Tooth removal

Once your mouth is fully restored and revitalized, you can smile, talk, and eat with complete confidence.

Crown Lengthening

Crown Lengthening

Sometimes, when you need a crown, there isn’t enough room on your broken or damaged tooth to place it. The solution to this is called crown lengthening. If you require crown lengthening to expose more tooth surface, we will refer you to a trusted periodontist.

Gum Contouring

Gum Contouring

While your teeth may be fine, sometimes your gum line can cover too much of your tooth structure or be uneven which can cause your smile to look asymmetrical. We use a diode laser to remove excess tissue to help you achieve a more balanced, symmetrical frame for your teeth. No incisions or sutures mean healing time is quick and predictable.

Composite Bonding

Composite Bonding

This is the least invasive of all the cosmetic dentistry procedures. Composite bonding can help:

  • Repair chips or cracks
  • Change the shape of the tooth (making it longer or closing a gap)
  • Cover deep or intrinsic stains by changing the color
  • Improve overall appearance

A resin material that matches your tooth’s color is applied and molded to the shape of your natural tooth. This can be accomplished in as little as one visit and will leave you feeling renewed.

Tooth Contouring

Tooth Contouring

You might be interested in tooth contouring if you want to fix small chips, adjust bumps or dips in your teeth, or reshape any irregular or overly pointed teeth. The procedure involves removing tiny bits of enamel to alter the shape of the tooth. It’s a quick and painless way to improve your smile.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics

The Invisalign system is a clear, almost invisible system that uses a series of removable trays custom fit to your teeth and gums to comfortably, predictably move your teeth over time. We take a scan of your teeth so that you can see the end result before you even start treatment and develop a plan just for you. Regular visits ensure that we’re with you every step of the way to a beautiful smile. Read more at our Invisalign page.

Smile Whitening

Smile Whitening

If you’re looking to brighten your smile, we offer safe, effective, professional teeth whitening using the Kör System. By using continuously refrigerated, high potency gel together with a scientifically designed application protocol we can deliver predictably exceptional results. Using a digital scan of your teeth we make custom-fitted trays. You use that tray to apply the bleaching gel to your teeth over a two week period in the comfort of your own home. In challenging cases, we will follow with a third in-office step where a more concentrated gel can be used on the teeth. The result is beautiful, healthy and natural-looking teeth. It’s the easiest, fastest route to feeling refreshed and looking younger!
